Location: Carbonero el Mayor, Segovia
Area: 303 m2
Builder: Building the Chichimos sl
The project is placed on a rectangular shape plot with a slight slope, located outside the village. The house is arranged in an L shape, open to the south, thus freeing most area for the garden, through which is accessed to the house, leaving a smaller, more functional space in the back (north), where is placed the road access.
The building is closed to the north and neighboring plots using prefab concrete walls with small openings purposely oriented, controlling what you want to see. The south oriented facades are solved with large glazed areas opened to the private garden space and protected from solar radiation by large sliding slats panels. The covers, flat and terraced, are conceived as an extension of the interior space.
The functional program locates the daytime areas and common use on the ground floor, looking all of them the maximum connection with the garden and articulated around a central area, that, thought as a bar counter, becomes the heart of the house, responding to the social needs of the clients, closely linked to the world of catering.
On the upper floors the rooms, two of which are located on the first floor, the master and guest, both linked to the ground floor by a double space, while on the second floor and in a more autonomous form are located daughters’ of the owners rooms.
